HELP! Please, Murder!!

You've broken the code now solve the clue.
A treasure awaits for the first of you.

I've tried to be plain yet secret enough,
For the educated this is not very tough.

NVCC is where you will start,
I warn you this is not for the faint of heart.

On a glacier ridge this trail was begun,
But cleared by a boy scout for eagle fun.

Take ALL the facts and do a search.
Look under the snow on top of the earth.

you know of course, that i poured all my energy into breaking the puzzle AND
solving the clue, was planning on heading out later today to find it-
wondering if i was to be first to discover it. apparently you must have second-guessed
your clues(first mistake)and basically told everyone where to look. because
of this, all my hard earned work toward breaking this crafty mystery was in
vein, as i was beaten to the box by someone else by only a couple of hours.
people who probably wouldn't have been there if they hadn't been walked to the
starting point by hand. it started out as a very good mystery, you shouldn't have
given out extra clues, it was fine the way it was. no gift for me. : (

I was also planning on going this morning to get the box, but when I looked up how far it was from my house on mapquest, I knew I wouldn't have time. It was over 2 hours and 10 minutes. We'll have to go on our next day off! Kellie of the Dynamic Duo!
